La calle del Príncipe está destinada a unir para siempre una travesía llena de historia, un paseo que confina, en una de sus esquinas una leyenda de amor y espíritus, vayamos por partes.
Lo primero que debemos aclarar, es porqué la calle del Príncipe recibe este nombre. Podemos encontrar varias hipótesis; para el historiador Mesonero Romanos se debe a Felipe II, no obstante, otros expertos aseguran que la calle se dedicó a Muley Xeque, conocido como el Príncipe Negro.
Para salir de dudas recurrimos a Miguel de Cervantes, quién en aquel momento vivía en la calle Huertas y relata que vivía cerca del Palacio del Príncipe Negro, por lo tanto la última hipótesis es la que más sentido tiene, gracias al apunte del escritor.

To get out of doubt, we turned to Miguel de Cervantes, who at that time lived in Calle Huertas and relates that he lived near the Palace of the Black Prince, therefore the last hypothesis is what makes the most sense, thanks to the writer's point.
