¡Hola! Os vamos a contar una de las más famosas y “ricas” leyendas situadas en el Parque del Retiro. Se trata de la fuente Egipcia. Pero, ¿por qué se le llama la fuente egipcia? ¿Acaso se trajo de África? ¿Qué misterio podría encerrar una simple fuente?
Se dice que al tiempo de ser construída en el siglo XIX, dejó de dar agua. ¿Cuál fue la causa por la que dejó de dar agua? ¿Acaso se quedó Madrid sin agua o quizá haya un misterio oculto?
En 1968 se encontró en la puerta lateral del parque un tesoro que tenía un valor de 300.000 pesetas y que fue construida en el siglo XIX. Antiguamente la fuente sí tenía agua, razón por la que hoy en día siguen ahí las esfinges a pesar de que ya no tiene agua. Ahora lo que queda es un pedestal de la estatua y una extraña vasija de piedra que los madrileños bautizaron como "La Tripona". Además, tardaron 31 años en construir la estatua. Pero eso no es todo. The Retiro is a historic garden and public and municipal park located in Madrid more or less in the center. You can see some monuments with very interesting legends. The origin of the Retiro was a room that Carlos I ordered to build attached to the church of the Jeronimos and It was denominated initially "Real Room," where the kings "retired" in times of mourning.One curiosity is that El bosque del recuerdo was inagurated in 2005. It has 170 cypresses and 22 olives. Another curiosity is that the oldest tree in Madrid is el Ahuehuete. And another curiosity is that the estanque was created in 1605-1665 and it was cleaned in 2001. The walk of statues was ordered by Felipe VII and all the walk was covered by statues of kings and queens.
